On Feb 9 and 10, 2008--a National Seminar was held on Changing Trends in Science Communication. The seminar was attended by a large number of participants hailing from different institutions, besides a number of distinguished speakers.

On Feb 29, 2008 a seminar was conducted at on E-Learning: A New Way of Learning. Professor Ratnesh Pathak was the main resource person for the seminar.

On May 17, 2008 a Seminar cum Reporting Competition: Role of Media in NCR region-Problems and Issues was held. Dr. Hemant Joshi, Director NIC, Ms. Simran Kohli, Anchor Radio city, Mr. Narendra Godawlli, Head Camera Sectioin, NDTV acted as observers of the competition. Padmasree Dr.Shyam Singh Shashi acted Guest of Honor.
